Kristin Fisher joined CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team in July of 2021. She covers everything, from NASA and Space Force, Space Force and commercial space companies, to the emergence of space tourism. Kristin is the daughter two NASA astronauts. Kristin has grown up with the space industry and covered the Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. While there she also covered impeachment trials for the president and the presdiential 2020 campaign and two attempts by the administration to stop the spread of coronavirus. Kristin travelled extensively, both with the vice president and president. She even went on a secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Kristin was a fixture in the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for nearly a decade before being hired by the CBS network. She was awarded one Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as a CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Kristin used her experience in the field to create Field Mouse Films. The company was a specialist in documentary films, and became a preferred choice among corporate clients, including Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. Her husband and three year-old daughter live in Washington, D.C.
